In 2016, the World Bank ranked the West African Agricultural Productivity Program (WAAPP) as its "second best" project on innovation, creation, dissemination and adoption of improved agricultural technologies.

The Rockefeller Foundation ranked the West African Seed Program (WASP) among the top eight agricultural innovation programs in Africa in 2016.
