CORAF is an international non-profit association of national agricultural research systems (NARS) from
(NARS) of 23 countries, covering over 40% of Africa's population, making it the largest sub-regional research organization on the African continent. It was created in 1987,
with a mandate to coordinate and facilitate the innovative, cutting-edge research products needed to unlock the agricultural potential of West and Central Africa.
CORAF works in collaboration with national agricultural research systems, and through regional centers of excellence, to address cross-cutting, cross-border and regional challenges.
