About CORAF

The West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF) is an international non-profit organisation organization that brings together the national agricultural research systems of 23 West and Central African countries. It was founded in 1987 and is based in Dakar, Senegal. CORAF's mission is to contribute to food security, nutrition and rural development in West and Central Africa through the promotion of agricultural research, innovation and technology transfer. It works in close collaboration with its members, governments, research institutions, the private sector and civil society organizations.
