TARSPro/CORAF: a revised guideline for greater impact in 2023

Published on: 25/01/2023

The teams in charge of implementing the Agricultural Technologies and Innovations for Increasing the Resilience of Production Systems and Family Farms in West and Central Africa (TARSPro) project met in Dakar from January 10 to 12, 2023. The aim of the meeting was to make an effective contribution to strengthening the program's achievements and impact at beneficiary level.

The workshop, entitled Rencontre d'harmonisation des Plans de travail et budget annuels (PTBA) 2023 des partenaires du programme TARSPro, enabled the various players involved in implementing the project to take greater ownership of the different components.

"The most important thing to come out of this workshop is an exhaustive, consensual list of activities by project output for 2023," explained Marcellin NONFON, TARSPro's interim coordinator.

At the end of the meeting, the participants, made up of focal points and monitoring-evaluation officers from the five intervention countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and Chad) and the CORAF coordination team, agreed on the following:

  • Validated the project targets;
  • Retained a common vision of the activities to be carried out and the related procedures;
  •  Elaborated a roadmap for the finalization by each partner country of its PTBA for the year 2023.

CORAF's Executive Director, Dr Abdou TENKOUANO, meanwhile paid a courtesy call on the participants, urging them, among other things, to show greater commitment to the project's success.

TARSPro has just entered its third year of implementation, with financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
