CORAF is an important organization working to improve food and nutrition security in West Africa. CORAF's recent initiatives are a promising sign of its determination to meet the challenges facing West Africa.
Release of the final report of the workshop on sharing lessons learned from the fruit fly project

The final report of the workshop to discuss the end of the fruit fly project and draw lessons from its implementation has been published. The report highlights the results achieved in the four main components. These include surveillance, pest management, capacity building and applied research.
Ten West African countries implemented the fruit fly project between 2015 and 2019. Designed to combat fruit flies, the project was funded by the European Union (EU), the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) and the French Development Agency. The West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF) was responsible for the adaptive research component.
