Under a Presidential Decree signed on October 25, 2022, Dr Blessed OKOLE has been appointed Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Cameroon. 

Decree N°2022/477 of October 25, 2022 appoints five new Special Advisors to the General Secretariat of the Prime Minister's Office in Cameroon, including Dr Blessed OKOLE.

Dr OKOLE is a member of CORAF's Board of Directors. He is Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee.

Joining Madame President and the other members of the CORAF Board, CORAF's Executive Director expressed his congratulations to the new Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Cameroon. 

"I congratulate Dr Blessed OKOLE on his brilliant appointment as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Cameroon. It is a well-deserved elevation and I wish him every success in this exciting and challenging new role", said Dr Abdou TENKOUANO, Executive Director of CORAF. 

The four other people appointed alongside Dr OKOLE by the same Decree are : Mr Frédéric MBOTTO EDIMO, Mr Barnabé TANG AHANDA, Mr Cosmas Ngasah CHEKA and Ms Aissa FADADJO. 

Cameroon recently hosted the first Forum of CORAF - the Forum of Agricultural Research Leaders of West and Central Africa, under the patronage of His Excellency, the Prime Minister, Head of Government of the Republic of Cameroon.

The Forum was held in the Cameroonian capital from October 19 to 21, 2022, under the theme: "Enhancing capabilities to strengthen resilience in the face of evolving challenges and crises affecting agricultural productivity in West and Central Africa".
