MAIN OBJECTIVES
Capacity building of at least two stakeholder groups in each of the three target countries to integrate best practices for a more sustainable feed sector and to adopt new knowledge on the nutritional requirements of several improved strains of tilapia and African catfish. Quality improvement of at least 15 local ingredients through various processing techniques. These ingredients are used by stakeholders in the three target countries, including local feed millers and farmers, to produce nine innovative and cost-effective feed formulations to improve the productivity and resilience of aquaculture. 5,000 farmers directly or indirectly linked to the project have access to new fish feeds and feed solutions, which they are testing and using thanks to the knowledge and innovations developed within the project, with the support of a range of strategic partners and other stakeholders.
