MAIN OBJECTIVES
The overall aim is to help strengthen feed quality policing at regional and national level, so as to market high-performance feeds for livestock production while ensuring public and animal health, as well as environmental and economic sustainability. Specifically, this involves : - Analyze the standards and texts regulating quality control and the livestock feed trade in the PRAPS countries and, where appropriate, make proposals for revising the texts regulating the livestock feed trade. - Make a strategic and operational diagnosis of approved laboratories and other structures in charge of quality control of the livestock feed trade in PRAPS countries, and of practices involving all stakeholders. - Propose a model for efficient organization and management of the police in charge of nutritional quality and feed safety, with quantitative and qualitative reinforcement of controls through a standardized methodology and inspection process.
