The Food System Resilience Program (FSRP) is an initiative of regional organizations (ECOWAS, CILSS/AGRHYMET and CORAF) and member states aimed at strengthening regional integration in three interconnected priority areas.

11 Noteon organizational capacity for NSC, SRC and REC
CORAF has strengthened regional agricultural research and extension systems through (1) 1,800 people reached, 42% of them women, at technology open days, (2) 3 MITAs (Markets for Agricultural Innovations and Technologies) organized with 272 technologies presented, (3) 7 centers of specialization evaluated on the basis of performance criteria, (4) 9 PhD fellowships funded, (5) 10 student immersion fellowships in centers of specialization (dry cereals, aquaculture and fruits and vegetables), (6) 7 grants funded for 26 research institutions, (7) 304 scientists trained, including 22% women and 17% young people (gender, bioinformatics, biostatistics, data collection, proposal writing, ILM), (8) 10 technology parks created in 9 countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Togo, Benin), (9) 15 modern, high-performance extension tools/approaches identified.
