This indicator measures the capacity of the five institutions by assessing their performance using standardized performance parameters for institutional assessment. The end result of the institutional assessment, at any stage, is the institution's strengths and weaknesses profile, which can be used to design institutional improvement measures once the baseline assessment has been completed. The baseline profile will help each institution decide how to improve, over the course of the XP4 program, the biennial skills, procedures and capabilities that define the particular area of institutional function being assessed, in order to better fulfill its missions.
