14th Ordinary Session of the CORAF General Assembly
Every two years, the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF) organizes a General Assembly of its members to take stock and define new orientations in terms of policy, programs, agreements, protocols, statutes, budgets and financial plans, and sets membership fees on the recommendation of the Board of Directors.
In the current context of multi-faceted crises, namely the health and security crises, the 14th Ordinary Session of the General Assembly will provide an opportunity to define the mechanism for increasing collaboration with the private sector in all strategies for developing the agricultural sector in West and Central Africa, with a view to mitigating the impact of climate change on agriculture.
The theme of this 14th Ordinary Session of the CORAF General Assembly is "Increasing collaboration with the private sector in West and Central Africa to mitigate the impact of climate, health and security crises on agriculture".
The scientific and technical animation of the GA-14 assizes will consist of a set of events below:
● the official opening and closing ceremonies;
● the panel of Ministers in charge of Agriculture and Research;
● the plenary conferences followed by debates;
● the Benin day in the form of a fair for agricultural innovations and technologies;
● the session dedicated to CORAF governance issues.
● Research leaders' forum on April 18.
