The strengths of the Agricultural Technology and Innovation Park
The Agricultural Technology and Innovation Park offers a range of benefits for farmers:
High-yielding improved seeds on the park
At the heart of this agricultural technology and innovation park in Sierra Leonne are the high-yield improved seeds developed by SLARI. SLARI's improved seeds are designed to increase agricultural productivity and are adapted to local conditions. By visiting SLARI's Agricultural Innovation and Technology Park and adopting these improved seeds, farmers can significantly improve their productivity and contribute to the country's food security. It is important to note that SLARI does not overlook the value of local seeds. On the contrary, the institute aims to integrate traditional agricultural knowledge with modern scientific advances. This approach makes it possible to exploit the benefits of improved seeds while preserving Sierra Leone's rich agricultural heritage.
Farmers are also encouraged to visit SLARI's Agricultural Technology and Innovation Park through communication campaigns to learn more about these improved seeds, receive training in their use and understand how they can complement traditional farming practices to improve productivity and food security.
